Technical Requirements

These are the minimum requirements for NSFX Managed Accounts and NSFX Managed Accounts Practice Platforms. If you are having problems running those accounts, ensure that your computer meets the hardware, software and Internet connection requirements below.

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

• Pentium 1GHz processor (2GHz recommended)
• 512 MB memory (1 GB+ recommended)
• 800×600 pixel display (1024×768 recommended)
• 16-bit color display (32-bit recommended)

OPERATING SYSTEM

• The NSFX Managed Accounts and NSFX Managed Accounts Practice platforms run on most systems that have a Web browser with Java 5 or higher.
• Windows ME, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7
• Macintosh OS X Version 10.4 or higher
• Mobile interface, Androiod 3.0, Iphone 4

BROWSER SOFTWARE

NSFX Managed Accounts and NSFX Managed Accounts Practice are Web-based platforms requiring one of the following browsers. For you to log in to the platform, your browser needs to be enabled for Java 5 and have 128-bit encryption to protect your login ID and password in transmission.

• Google Chrome 1.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption.
• FireFox 1.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption.
• Safari 2.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption.
• Opera 9.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption.
• Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption.

JAVA 5 SOFTWARE

To download and install Java 5:

• For Windows, visit the Java web site
• For Mac OS X, use the Software Updater or visit the Apple Developer’s web site. (Java 5 is supported by Mac OS X 10.4 or later.)

OTHER SOFTWARE

• You need Adobe Acrobat Reader (to view NSFX Managed Accounts product documents in PDF format.)

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

• The NSFX Managed Accounts platform can run on most browsers connected to the Web.
• For web access, consult your Internet Service Provider or your network administrator or contact our technical support team.
• The platform will operate behind a firewall only if proprietary protocol requests are allowed to Port 15700 or Port 443, with server names fxserver01-fxmanager.NSFX Managed Accounts.com for NSFX Managed Accounts or fxserver02-fxmanager.NSFX Managed Accounts.com for NSFX Managed Accounts Practice.
